At Safe Centre, we are committed to ensuring that the voices of survivors are reflected in the work we do. By listening to and learning from lived experiences, we strive to make our services responsive to the real-life needs of those we support.
This commitment has led to the creation of VOICES, Survivor Advisory Network, a formal committee of survivors established within the Safe Centre of Peel.
VOICES is a community of individuals with lived experience who are dedicated to informing and improving the systems, services, and policies that impact survivors. By elevating survivor expertise and fostering meaningful collaboration, VOICES helps ensure that lived experience is integrated into decision-making, leading to more responsive, equitable, and impactful outcomes for individuals and families.
